As part of the Southeast Europe Leadership for Development and Integrity (SELDI), in 2019 – 2020 CSD led the development of a number of policy briefs focused on anti-corruption and good governance in the Western Balkans and the Black Sea region. In 2020 it introduced the first comprehensive assessment of state capture vulnerabilities in the Western Balkans and gauged the policy implications on the EU’s further enlargement in the region. In 2019 it provided a comparative policy assessment of the functioning of the region’s anti-corruption agencies, focusing on good practices and possibilities for improvement.

CSD is SELDI’s Knowledge and Outreach Coordinator. SELDI is the largest anti-corruption and good governance coalition in Southeast Europe and the Black Sea Region, a successor of the Southeast European Legal Development Initiative. CSD launched SELDI, together with the International Development Law Institute (IDLI) and a number of leading CSOs on 7 April 2000. As of 2020, SELDI encompasses 39 members from 14 countries (including Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine and Romania).
