Security in the 21st century is a major intellectual and conceptual challenge, Bulgaria's Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev said at the opening of the international 'Risks to Security and Transformation: Euro-Atlantic and Regional Perspectives' conference.The two-day event is organized by the Centre for the Study of Democracy. It will be participated by ministers, politicians and defence and security experts and foreign guests, including high-positioned NATO and European Union officials. Prime Minister Stanishev once again voiced Bulgaria's determination to play an active role for the security in the region.Visiting NATO SACEUR General James Jones is also among the participants. When addressing the participants General Jones explained that NATO's main challenges in the 21st century arise from the biggest threat to humanity - terrorism.
