Biography
Ryan McLaren is an Analyst with the Center for the Study of Democracy’s Security Program. He is involved in projects relating to economic and national security, foreign information manipulation and influence, state capture and strategic corruption, and other priority topics of the program. His MA thesis was on the subject of Ireland’s transforming national identity through foreign policy discourses vis-à-vis the Israel-Palestine conflict, and his BA thesis explored the effects of online lecture captioning on cognitive overload and test performance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
