Biography

Remina Aleksieva is an analyst for the Energy and Climate Program of the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD). She is involved in several projects in the field of just transition, climate change adaptation and mitigation, climate justice and energy and climate security. 

Before joining CSD, Remina gained her experience in the Bulgarian Ministry of Environment and Water as a policy officer working on environmеntal case law and Bulgaria’s strategy for climate change adaptation, the application of the Fit-for-55 package and the EU Green Deal. She has engaged in several projects looking at behavioural insights of sustainable behaviour, collective action and environmental policy. Remina has additional experience in behavioural and policy analysis, translating academic insights into effective policy responses.
