Biography

Nadejda Gantcheva is a senior analyst for the Energy and Climate Program of the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD). She works on several projects, assessing the policy development and governance of national energy strategies, removing barriers to upscaling renewable energy sources and increasing social acceptance of new technologies.

She has previously worked on projects related to energy efficiency in buildings and societal research on nuclear energy, assessments of EU cohesion policy and measures supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in Bulgaria.

Nadejda has also worked for the British government, coordinating activities related to Britain’s departure from the EU in Bulgaria, migration and trade policy post-Brexit.

Research focus

Energy governance, renewable energy sources, social acceptance of new technologies.
