Biography

Marius Koeppen works as an Analyst at the Energy and Climate Program of the Center for the Study of Democracy. His research focuses on energy transition, energy security and European energy, climate and just transition policies. He has worked on projects analysing Germany’s dependence on Russian gas based on CSD’s Energy and Climate Security Index and the potential effects of carbon pricing and the just transition process. He has methodological expertise in the application of quantitative methods which he employed for his Master’s thesis on how renewables and carbon prices are affecting electricity prices in European countries. 

Before joining CSD, Marius worked as a student assistant at the Research Group Entrepreneurship and Innovative Business Models at the Philipp University of Marburg and completed several internships at organisations engaging in social entrepreneurship.
