Biography

Lukas Rijntalder works as a Defense Analyst at the Center for the Study of Democracy in the Defense and Strategic Resilience Task Force. His research focuses on cognitive warfare, defence innovation, civil-military relations, and hybrid threats, with a particular emphasis on the Black Sea region, as well as the broader European security environment.

During his studies, Lukas undertook an internship at the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Political Dialogue Asia Programme, focusing on EU-ASEAN relations, Southeast Asian politics, and regional security. Prior to joining as a staff member, he completed an internship at CSD, contributing to research on governance, societal resilience, and hybrid threats in Eastern Europe.
