Biography
Kalina Tcolova is an analyst for the Energy and Climate Program of the Center for the Study of Democracy (CSD). She is involved in projects in the fields of just energy transition policies, energy performance of buildings, climate change adaptation and mitigation and innovative urban development.
Before joining CSD, Kalina gained experience in both the private and public sectors. During her time as a chief climate and energy expert at Sofia Municipality, she worked on the implementation of long-term strategic documents on energy planning, energy efficiency, climate change adaptation and mitigation, as well as green city development. She has coordinated international projects on residential renovation services, energy investments, circular economy and air quality.
Prior to that, Kalina practiced her professional degree by exercising investment control of residential buildings in construction, focusing on energy efficiency. She has additional experience in green business models, ESG frameworks and sustainable leadership development.
