Biography
Goran is an expert in investigating and countering information-related hybrid threats. He specializes in developing evidence-based and data-driven policy strategies to combat foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI), media capture and cognitive warfare. He utilizes media monitoring, audience analysis, business intelligence, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques, alongside other digital forensic methods, to identify and investigate ongoing information operations and associated hybrid threats. Goran is adept at analyzing the Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) used by threat actors to manipulate and capture information environments, and synthesizing the collected observations in reports destined for institutional audiences. He has an expert understanding of media landscapes in Central and Eastern Europe, with an emphasis on strategically important states that are particularly susceptible to foreign authoritarian influence and strategic corruption.
At CSD, Goran is involved in every stage of project development and implementation and has authored numerous reports on the subject matter. His analysis has been featured in major national and international outlets.
