Biography
Christian Filipov has intimate knowledge of the political, economic, and governance aspects of post-communist transition countries in Eastern Europe. Christian worked as a tax consultant to high-tech companies and an energy lawyer in the United States and implemented economic development and legal reform programs in Armenia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Sri Lanka and Uganda on behalf of the World Bank and USAID. His government advisory background is in improving the business enabling environment, designing competition policy, promoting research–industry collaboration, streamlining regulations and procedures to foster private sector growth, public administration reform and public sector digitalization. At CSD, Christian’s work focuses on geoeconomics, economic security and good governance.
