The spread of extremist narratives online has attracted considerable attention. Awareness of the factors that impact on the process of radicalisation is an essential prerequisite for the development of balanced approaches for countering violent extremism that are consistent with fundamental rights standards.

On 24 November 2021 the Center for the Study of Democracy held an online training event on innovative approaches for the prevention of radicalisation and terrorism through strengthening multi-stakeholder cooperation at the national level. The event brought together experts and practitioners in the law enforcement and justice sectors, and academia.
