On 18 September 2025, an international civic forum was held in Belgrade under the Reinventing Engagement through Affirmative Citizen Consultations (REACH) initiative. The event was attended by citizen delegates, experts, and policy stakeholders from several European countries, and was designed to facilitate the exchange of insights and ideas gathered during local and national consultations.
Throughout the day, experiences and visions on key European themes such as environmental protection, the rule of law, and EU integration were shared through dynamic discussions and focus groups. A collaborative environment for reflection, dialogue, and co-creation of policy proposals was created, with the goal of strengthening democratic participation.
One of the most significant outcomes of the forum was the exchange of knowledge and institutional practices among participating countries. This process was seen to deepen mutual understanding, inspire innovative approaches, and demonstrate how collaborative learning can contribute to more inclusive and effective governance.
