Biography:
Elena Clemente Fito is an analyst in the Geoeconomics Programme where she focuses mostly on illicit financial flows, and anti-corruption topics. Her research interest also takes on the development of narratives and trends in society affecting young adults at a societal level as well as the larger trends targeting institutional integrity.
During her studies, Elena was actively involved with Amnesty International’s Refugee Committee, where she supported initiatives to integrate asylum seekers in the Netherlands. Additionally, her BA thesis examined the nexus between corruption and foreign development aid, with a particular focus on the societal conditions that allow corruption to thrive.
